children publishing |
Our publications (books,
exhibit catalogues, audiovisual materials, portfolios) are developed
from projects carried out in the Municipal Infant-toddler Centers
and Preschools of Reggio Emilia, with the aim to offer a wide
audience a close-up look at young children’s thoughts,
ideas, imagination, and strategies of relationships and learning.
Based on listening to and esteem for young children, these books
and other materials directly present the voice of the children,
including reports on the results of research conducted in the
schools and essays on educational topics, but in all these publications
the children themselves are the protagonists.
Reggio Children’s publications are available in numerous
languages and are distributed in many countries by a network
of collaborators and bookshops. |

In Dialogue
with Reggio Emilia Listening,
Researching and Learning |
By Carla Rinaldi.
This book offers a collection of Carla Rinaldi’s
most important articles, lectures, and interviews
from 1994 to the present day, organized
around a number of themes and with a full
introduction which contextualises each piece
of work. The topics discussed include: the
thought and legacy of Loris Malaguzzi, the
uniqueness of the Reggio Emilia Approach,
current issues in education and the meaning
of being a teacher today, the role of creativity
in education, the teaching/learning relationship,
participation, and assessment. Closing with
an interview of Rinaldi by Peter Moss and
Gunilla Dahlberg, the author discusses her
current work and her reflections on Reggio’s
past, present, and future.
