Over the years,
in collaboration with the Municipality of Reggio Emilia
and the Friends of Reggio Children Association, Reggio
Children has carried out cooperative initiatives with
educational institutions in a number of countries and
territories, including Albania, Bosnia, Kosovo, Cuba,
and Senegal.
Educational projects are now underway (focussing on improving
environments and teacher professional development) in
Egypt and the Palestinian Territories on the request of
the NGOs MAIS and CEI, both based in Turin. |

In addition, within the sphere of agreements that the Emilia-Romagna
Region and the Municipality of Reggio Emilia have made with
the Sahrawi, Reggio Children participates in a project aimed
at professional qualification of persons working with the
disabled in Wilaya of Smara at the Sahrawi refugee camps (in
the Algerian desert). The project is managed by the association
Jaima Sahrawi of Reggio Emilia. |
