CHANGING DATES
School year 2008/2009
The new dates will be communicated as soon as possible |
| |
Meanwhile
we would like to thank you very much for having registered in
the International Seminar "The languages of food"
- Education and nutrition in dialogue, we would like to inform
you that the Seminar has
been postponed to a future date still to be defined in the school
year 2008/2009.
The reason why Reggio Children decided to change its plan is
connected with a stronger context we would like to give to this
seminar. Reggio Children would like to organize the International
Seminar "The languages
of food" in connection with the opening of the restaurant
that will be built inside the International Center Loris Malaguzzi.
The National Seminar "The languages of food" that
took place in Reggio Emilia on November 16/17 was very much
appreciated by all the participants. The ongoing research on
food and nutrition that has developed along these years in the
municipal infant-toddler centers and preschools working in the
kitchens and seeing the cooks as the main protagonists of this
research was offered to the participants as an element of analysis.
Along these many years of research the kitchens have also become
a sort of atelier, workshop that have offered to all the all
the municipal infant-toddler centers and preschools in Reggio
Emilia an opportunity to look at nutrition and food as a language
to express new ways of communication. All this was also shared
during the Seminar.
Reggio Children thinks the opening of the restaurant at the
International Center Loris Malaguzzi will offer us the open
possibility to organize an International Seminar in order to
create experiences with the participants and new styles to approach
food and nutrition not only in the kitchens of the schools and
infant-toddler centers but also in the kitchen of the new restaurant.
We will keep you updated about the developments of our plans
connected with the International Seminar "The languages
of food" and we thank you very much for your interest in
the Reggio Emilia experience.
With our warmest regards,
Paola Ricco'
