PLAY+SOFT
is a research project on new soft furnishings for young
children, resulting in a line of around 200 products,
from an idea by Maurizio Fontanili, developed with the
pedagogical consultancy by Reggio Children, twenty-eight
international designers and the art direction by ZPZ Partners.
The purpose of the exhibit is to illustrate not only
the outcomes of the research but also the laboratory
process that involved the collaboration of designers,
teachers, and pedagogistas: the dialogue between pedagogy
and design and the theoretical reflections that were
developed.
The Catalogue of the furnishings acts also as Catalogue
of the Exhibition: including texts about pedagogy and
design, it is also a book on how to project interior
spaces for childhood.
